Sales Associate Job Description

Clint Orms Engravers & Silversmiths is on the lookout for individuals who are great with people, detail oriented, take initiative, and have an eye for design! We are looking for those interested in working in a fast-paced environment with the highest caliber of clientele, and coworkers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and wait on all customers who enter the shop.
  • Engage customers, ask probing questions, give intriguing demonstrations, add-on merchandise to sales, and successfully close sales.
  • Know and share information about the company and any current promotions/events.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product knowledge, as well as trends and developments within the industry.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English language 
  • Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements 
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers and management over the phone, text and email.
  • Telephone etiquette 
  • Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision 
  • Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing sometimes for several hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders 
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Adobe Creative Suites is a plus.
  • Keep showroom area re-stocked, sized, neat, and clean.
  • Attend mandatory shop meetings.
  • Assume other responsibilities as asked by the sales managers.

Qualifications & Proficiencies

Working hours

  • You can expect to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. A typical work week runs Monday-Friday and Saturdays. Shifts start at 8:30am and end at 5pm with a 30 min lunch rotation between 11:45am-2pm. Saturdays shifts run 10am-4pm.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of one Saturday a month or as schedule demands.
  • Extended hours may be required to meet customer demands especially during peak business times.
